Community Workshop Club

The purpose of this club is to organize workshops, centered around alternative educational models and skillsharing, for members of all three schools to participate in. We will bring speakers from outside of the Cooper Union to provide knowledge about material not readily available within the institutional curriculum. Such workshops for this semester will include a 3 part anti-oppression workshop facilitated by the consulting group Rhizome Collective, as well as a palm reading and tarot workshop.

An opportunity to widen the scope of the educational material at Cooper Union, this club will empower students to supplement our school's existing curriculum with the topics they feel are urgent and relevant. Education through workshopping is a form of community building that engages students in ways that are distinct from what many classroom settings can offer, this club will expand the ways in which our students can learn and teach each other.
