ITE: Institute of Transportation Engineers

Purpose:

The Institute of Transportation Engineers is a professional society dedicated to advancing the study of transportation design, planning and construction. Being one of the major fields within Civil Engineering, transportation engineering presents a wide variety of career options for the students at the Cooper Union. The club will strive to be a liaison between Cooper students and professionals in the traffic and transportation industry. This club will allow students to participate in a wide variety of activities, seminars and discussions in the metropolitan region and beyond, including the ITE Collegiate Traffic Bowl scheduled for this October.

Contribution:

Under the guidance of adjunct professor Dr. Lennon PE and CE department chair Dr. Ahmad PE, the Cooper ITE will strive to increase understanding and interest in the transportation industry conduct through site visits, guest speakers and events such as the ITE Collegiate Traffic Bowl scheduled for this October.
